When we wrote together in a collaborative setting, without grades, without a lot of pressure, then there was this place where really magic happened. What do you like about writing? Now, I want the independence that comes with being sure of my parents' love, and not needing to feel them watch me.

I feel that this infantilizes young adults, and that this seeming "protection" can only have negative ramifications later on.
